World Competition in Houston!

Twisted Axles competed in the FTC World Competition in Houston this week. It was so much fun to compete against teams from the Western US, China, Canada, Australia, and others. We ended competition with a 4-5 record after getting an incredibly difficult schedule. Even though our record didn't show it, we were one of the highest-scoring teams at the competition. Our OPR (an unofficial but pretty good estimate of individual scoring) was the 6th highest out of 128 teams. We met lots of new friends and were able to see some really awesome robots compete in the finals. What a great opportunity for our team! One of the highlights of the trip was our outing to Buc-ee's, the most wonderful gas station in the world. You can't appreciate it unless you've been there. Also, this picture perfectly encapsulates the personalities of our team members and traveling groupies.
